Marketers advise that authors not post their political opinions. Posting pro-democracy statements might lose me half my readership. I say no one who makes a living expressing their thoughts should cower behind marketing strategies when the world is burning.

Very much looking forward to Saturday's No Kings rally nearby, one that my health has finally allowed me to participate in. I thought of making my own sign, "No Faux King Around Here," but my husband bought copies of the Declaration, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, which sums it all up.

It's so frustrating when some spell / grammar check tries to "correct" my work. It suggests "Alright" (fingernails on blackboard), "it's," and "complementary" for my correct writing. I shudder to think the day will come when it suggests "irregardless."

I am confused. My story "Czesko" was initially listed as one of the works involved in the Anthropic class-action suit. Today, as I go to file my claim, they tell me the story wasn't listed. What the heck??
Bad enough to get pirated, but then to get stiffed on top of it?
