🛠️ If your team has issues to work through:
We do an exercise at offsites called Elephants, Tigers & Paper Tigers.
- Elephants are things that the group isn’t talking about but needs to
- Tigers are things threatening the team, risks
- Paper tigers are things that seem like risks, but aren’t

BIOFIRE and WWScan both show the lowest readings since Pirola (BA.2.86*) swept two years ago.
We're in a good lull right now.

What I'm listening to today: "Augmatic Disport", Autechre
Woke up today thinking about this album. "Untilted" fits oddly in Autechre's discography, a 70-minute zerg rush of dense, ever-shifting robot breakbeats. I like this one track's internal narrative arc.

it took a few false starts to get into this hardcover 'Translation State' by Ann Leckie that came out in 2023, but once I started it on a 6h flight to California, I realized this was a perfect travel-travel book that I could not put down

Congratulations to Martin Odersky for receiving the Programming Languages Achievement Award @icfp-conference.bsky.social - well deserved! :)
I can only confirm what it says on the citation, his work deeply impacted how I view programming.
Let's work towards making #Scala a continued success!

went to CVS to get flu and COVID vaccines (Moderna). I don't think they used to ask for insurance information in the past for payment, but this time they got my ID and insurance info. no charge out-of-pocket.
apparently in Japan it costs like USD 120 out of pocket.
