I'm trying to change my habit from surfing the web when I get bored, have nothing to do, or don't know what to do, to reading books using my product theworkdocs.com
.

It seems to be helping me a lot because I'm gaining more ideas and knowledge every day.

I just had an amazing 15 minutes today watching How to Build an MVP from Y Combinator. 🚀

After working with startups most of my career, one thing is clear: building a startup is the fastest way to learn. Here’s what I’ve seen people get wrong... 👇

I'm a self-learn SWE and I build my product from scratch without any guidance.

Even though I think my lessons are still valuable for everyone who has just started their journey to become an indie hacker.

Here are 5 things I wish I knew when I started 👇

The first 100 users, after 2 weeks of poor marketing,

I get about 5 feedbacks from users. Some of them are very interesting.

Next stop: Fix bugs and create more features for users.

Not sure when it started, but I’ve been obsessing over small build details—like route sizes in my projects.

Crazy how going deeper into tech makes you notice the little things.

Deepseek just released Model R1, which has strong equality to OpenAI O1 but is much cheaper.

This is instant and a great chance for indie hackers to optimize their products if they use OpenAI API.

The hardest part of being an indie hacker while still working in an office is dedicating time to build the product you believe will succeed.

Weekends and nights become your ideal time to focus, while daylight hours are spent brainstorming ideas, doing marketing, and learning new skills.

Indie Hackers Tips Part 6: I rebuilt my SaaS 3 times before learning this:
💡 Simplify your UI. Don't over complicated it
Here’s the key:
✅ Focus on the core feature.
✅ Remove unnecessary things and features.
✅ Guide users to their goal with clarity.

Confused users don’t convert. Just stay simple
Indie Hacker Tips Part 5: How to find the right problem?

The best ideas come from solving your own problems.
💡 You know the pain points.
💡 You’re your first customer.
💡 Validation is built-in.

If it’s a problem for you, it’s probably a problem for others too.

Stay focused and Ship Feature.
Inide Hackers Tips Part 4: Productivity as an indie hacker

Productivity as an indie hacker isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about doing the right things.
✅ Prioritize impact.
✅ Eliminate distractions.
✅ Ship consistently.
Focus on what moves the needle.

⚡ Saying no.

No to extra features.
No to shiny distractions.
No to anything that doesn’t move you closer to launching.

Focus is your superpower.
Focus on core features.
Focus on building the product.
Focus, Focus, and Focus.

Indie hacker tips part 2:

Launching your MVP is just the start.
The real game?
🎯 Listening to users.
🎯 Gathering feedback.
🎯 Iterating fast.

Don’t aim for perfect. Aim for better every single day.
(This is my mistake when I first start building WorkplaceTime)

Indie hacker tips part 1:
If you are building an MVP, focus on one main feature, solve one problem.

Too many features = complexity.
Simplicity = faster feedback + quicker launches.

Remember: MVP ≠ finished product.

Hi all, today I'd like to share my payment flow which I have focused on for a couple of weeks. It is suitable for LemonSqueezy or Stripe.

Here's how the server processes it:
1. Receives & validates webhook event
2. Records event (ID, name, status) & processes by type
3. Updates status & logs errors

This week, I will try to complete the payment for WorkplaceTime, and there are two things I’ve learned.
The price isn’t about me—it’s about my customers.

Does the product provide value to them?
How much time or value does it create?

Your pricing should feel like a steal for the results they get.
