Important question for authors!

What subgenre would you consider it if it’s a romance between two characters who have mostly humanoid features but also features of animals/mythical creatures?
Normal humans flat-out don’t exist. It doesn’t feel like fantasy cause everything else is pretty normal.

My heart breaks for Jonathan Joss and his husband. An indigenous and queer man who was murdered.
Anyone who paints this tragedy as anything other than a hate crime is disrespecting and discrediting the statement made by his husband and dishonoring Jonathan.
