Quick low tracks in late tonight with snow for the middle third of the Island into midday Sunday. Starts as rain east, ending as wet snow. Temps marginal, so mainly grassy accums, but slick spots possible around Gander/Bay d’Espoir Sun AM. Snow 2–5 AM, ends 11–2. Not major. #nlwx

The weather turns more active tonight as the first of back-to-back low-pressure centres moves through. This one looks more wet than white on the Island, with snow flying in the Big Land. The next one isn't as clear-cut. #nlwx

The tide level at Port aux Basques this morning is currently being measured at 2.329m. The highest astronomical tide level is 2.1m There are likely areas of the southwest coast seeing minor to moderate flooding. Levels peak with the high tide (between now and 9 AM) and then should recede. #nlwx

One round of rain (and snow) on the way tonight into early Friday. The next round is scheduled for Friday afternoon. Another 30 to 60+ mm of rain is on the way for the Burin and Avalon Peninsulas. Imagine if this were snow! #nlwx
