Sound design feels very overwhelming at first.
I would recommend learning how to use VCV Rack, Omri Cohen has some fantastic tutorials for it that will teach you skills that you can apply anywhere.
My plugin was directly inspired by the plaits and surge modules in VCV (was initially called Glaits).
