Decent piece in @theguardian.com today about the brilliant Joy Crookes. She's asked if the current situation was comparable to the 1970s when the National Front regularly held marches in immigrant areas, she said: “In my opinion it’s completely comparable." I was there. It's far worse today.

What do I think about the budget tax U-turn on the U-turn and whether there should be another U-turn.
Don’t know. I haven’t the financial expertise to judge.
But unlike headline writers I approve of politicians putting out ideas, listening to criticism, and modifying their policies.
