Over 2022 and 2023 I visited (or in the case of eight, revisited) all 26 English medieval cathedrals.

As an #Advent offering I'll be sharing photos here of one cathedral per day. Ish.

Amen to this (though the Prayers of Love and Faith still feel like scraps/the bare minimum of inclusivity).

Please consider also signing/sharing, if you feel able. 💕🌈

Introvert self-care: autumnal edition 🦔🐌🍂🌰

(I was very excited to discover that the farmshop at Gloucester Services sells vegetarian-friendly bonfire s'mores brownies. 🎆)
How did I miss this last time I visited?!
Oh, I do so love Deerhurst. Odda's Chapel is so special, and St Mary's Priory Church has that gorgeous 9th century font!

A reminder there could always be a hidden Saxon church inside your house
✨Deerhurst, Gloucestershire. A kitchen in the nave and a bedroom in the chancel hid within plain sight an Anglo-Saxon chapel built by Earl Odda (a relation to Edward the Confessor). Re-discovered in 1865, it is the most complete surviving Saxon church in England. #thread
Oh good, I have officially reached 'excited about my new shower curtain' years old.
I'm so sorry. Adding to the love and prayers for you and your family. 💓

When using Microsoft Word or Google Docs, don't just make text bigger and bolder to make it a heading. That will work for sighted users, but screen reader users will miss that and just hear it as normal paragraph text. Use actual heading styles, like level 1 through 6.
Ah, but where does the apostrophe go in "pedants corner"? 🤔 Presumably after the "s".

They really are! Thank you for your words of wisdom and care. ❤️

An interesting pattern here essentially following six points around a circle (like a daisy-wheel) but overlapping along an entire block. Discovered by the vergers over the weekend at about 7/8ft up the column, near the entrance at Tewkesbury.

Thank you for your words of wisdom.
"Whatever kind or well-intentioned words may be said, what is felt and known and experienced as the lived reality is a deeply damaging theology of power, which tramples over the lives and loves and the very humanity of LGBTQ+ folks."

#ToPray✝️

My friends, we cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life.

I hadn't even notice the wording until you said!
What a lovely evening at Cheltenham Lit Fest, hearing #CharlieMackesy discussing art, kindness, seeing the beauty & complexity in everyone, & - of course- the importance of cake. (I made it 15 mins in before bawling my eyes out.) Thanks Charlie for sticking around to sign for 3 hours afterwards! 💓🍰
