I recently started working on a adult only rhythm game and got into contact with other adult developers about what to make sure to not do or do when releasing on steam.
One developer told me that there are no EARLY ACCESS games for adult content, but I can not find any such rules on the steam documentation, so I wanted to clarify: Is early access available to adult only games right now?
Another developer told me that they had attempted to do a large content patch for their already released game and instead got told to use DLC's for that. Since updating and patching games is important to keep players happy, I wanted to know if there are any new rules for patching / updating adult only content that are not currently shown in the steam documentation?
I would also like to know if this affects patching and uploading depots after the initial build review that based on the available documentation has to happen alongside the STORE PAGE REVIEW.
Sorry for asking so many question, just want to make sure I'm doing this right. Thanks a lot and have a great day! <3

Thanks for reaching out. Indeed, we're not distributing Adult Only games that are in Early Access. Sorry.
You're free to update your game post-release, however if you are adding additional mature content we instead ask that you release that content as (potentially free) DLC.

2) No "dangerous" kink

We have content warnings for a reason. So that the viewer can CONSENT to the art being presented. Make the site safer by giving us the tools to properly tag our art for other people's consideration. Not banning it outright.
