I see it positive. one thing is being kind, hugboxing is lirerally hiding what you think or lying about it.

in spanish there is a better alternative expression which is to express saying the things you think and adding safeguards to not hurt and keeping empathy and kindness "poner paños calientes"

privacyIDEA is a MFA provider, and supports PAM and LDAP integration by a module or a proxy.

You can add PAM one, allowing you to login using FIDO2 or other kind of token.

If your machine is part of a Domain you can also use a proxy in front of the real LDAP/AD server and connect through it to PI.
