I sometimes think people don't see DC as a "real" city as it's the Capitol, but over 700K people call it home - so many families have been here for generations and exist outside of the people the rest of the country send here to govern.
It feels like we’ve been forgotten, maybe because there aren’t huge confrontations to run photos of. But our neighbors are still being taken every day. Routine traffic stops are now done by 12+ feds alongside local police.

Seems like kicking groups who solidly support you isn't common sense. If that's how they treat friends, why be their friend?
100% this. Not just the noise canceling, which is a technological gift from the gods, but also silent or quiet moments in songs. Songs don’t need to be full high noise through the song!
ICE kidnapped a 7th-grader with a pending asylum claim and spirited him out of state without notifying his parents, seemingly with the cooperation of the local police in Everett, MA.
This is also why more sidewalks are needed. Had there been a sidewalk on the street with a stop sign, that vegetation wouldn’t be there, and the corner more visible.
