1. In a major shadow docket ruling from the Supreme Court, the court has ruled against trans people's passports, giving a stay to the Trump administration.

The admin has previously indicated it intend to revoke some passports if it got this ruling.

1. Republicans are attempting to get the FBI to label trans advocacy as domestic terrorism.

Project 2025's parent org is pushing it.

It would not label all trans people as terrorists, but it would open the door for heavy surveillance and disruption.

BREAKING: Tonight, the Georgia General Assembly adjourned with no further anti-LGBTQ bills passing. While we are disappointed that any anti-LGBTQ bills passed this year, it is worth acknowledging that even more anti-LGBTQ bills were defeated.

We successfully defended against Senate Bill 30, related to puberty blockers, and Senate Bill 39, related to coverage by the State Health Benefit Plan and other state funding, both of which aimed to immediately restrict access to medical care for transgender Georgians. During a year with an overwhelming amount of pressure behind nearly 15 anti-LGBTQ bills, defeating all the ones which would have immediate harms for many transgender Georgians was no small feat. We are incredibly grateful to the many parents, faith leaders, medical providers, and advocates who worked tirelessly to help achieve this outcome. A broad coalition of LGBTQ Georgians and our allies showed up at the Capitol, lobbied lawmakers, and organized to make this possible. With 2025 being the first year of a biennial legislative session, we know that many of these bills will return next year; but we remain ready and committed to defeating them yet again. Together, our community is a force to be reckoned with."

On a verbal vote, the committee has voted to pass SB 1. It will now move to the House Rules committee where it could come up on the House floor at any time from there.

Because it's already passed the Senate, if the House passes it, it would go to the Governor to sign into law or veto.
