During long delay of Battle Chasers, Wizard did an article: "Where In The World Is Joe Madureira?" The answer was Joe telling fans, "Meh. I'm doing video games stuff now. I may get back to BC, probably not. Deal with it." Last year, he came out with 4 issues that did nothing & went nowhere. Fuck'im.

I love Kitty (no hate at all), though Rachel was my entry into the books. I just think grown up Kate is a richer, better nuanced, more fun character. She was one of the best characters during the Krakoa Era. Marauders was consistently one of my favorite books (1/2)

I love Kurt. I like how Gail has strengthened his ties to Rogue & deepened his friendship to Logan. I don't mind his faith playing a role in his character (Krakoa religion🤘). But removing the lovable rogue angle has been a mistake. Basically, I'm 100% down with your take.

My read on Betsy prior to Claremont bringing her to New Mutants & Uncanny is lacking, so I'm curious how she was handled in the Captain Britain book. I think both her & Kwannon deserve better. At least in Krakoa Excalibur & Hellions, they started exploring them. Do I sound bitter? I sound bitter...

Couldn't agree more. Events Ad Nauseum drove me away from comics in 2008. I only returned in 2018 because of Krakoa. The return to that brand of storytelling will make me drop the books at the end of this year. If Marvel isn't invested in the books & their fans, why should we be?

Betsy & Kwannon need to be kept separate (keep 'em the hell away from each other!) & there needs to be clear delineation between their power sets. Frankly, I'm tired of "you were in my body!!!" plots. Both characters have great potential thanks to Krakoa era - INVESTIGATE IT!!!

I agree about Cyclops, which sucks because he's a guy who has sacrificed & EVERYTHING for other people's dreams. Both brothers deserve better & never get it. Claremont tried with Maddie but that got wrecked. Fuck Magneto, Cyclops was right when he used Phoenix to blow Charlie out of his shoes.

"Clones" is a lazy plot device. It ruined Maddie, has become a complete punchline for Sinister (who got blown the fuck away at the end of Inferno), and is generally dumb.

Krakoa-era did its best to streamline/make sense of Apocalypse. While it did a better job than 90s-era books, which religiously followed "if it's cool..." rules to the point of stupidity, there's still huge room for improvement...which I hope no one tries for a LONG time. Let the dude stay retired.

I completely agree with you. My only point is that, for some stupid fucking reason, Brevoort and the rest of editorial seem to cater to those slack-jawed, stupid fucks. Which blows me away when one looks at the actual sales of the issues during the Krakoa era vs From The Ashes. (1/2)

Unfortunately, there's a segment of the readers who are loud about their inability to move past Age Of Apocalypse & cried through the entire Krakoa era. For some reason, they're the clowns who have editorial's ear. The same turds crying about Kamala Khan, Carol Danvers, Sam Wilson, & Jane Foster.

Exactly. You'd get maybe four months of good story, four months of set-up for the next MEGA-SUPER-EVERYTHING-CHANGING event, and then the event itself. Each with declining returns - Morlock Mutant massacre was good, Fall Of The Mutants & Inferno were decent at worst, but the rest were mostly meh.
