#31daysofgraves Day 12 notable women. Miss Agnes Annand is buried here, at Dunblane Cathedral graveyard, but not named on the headstone. For over 50yrs she (and her mum) ran one of the oldest newsagents in the country, in the High St. Cared for her invalid niece and educated many orphan children.
Annand family headstone image from Dunblane Museum. Large sandstone headstone, on south side of the Cathedral, with inscription very worn away.

#31daysofgraves Day 13 skeleton. There is no full skeleton at Dunblane Cathedral graveyard, but a few skull and bones. Sadly not many of these left now either; old pics show there were more. Pic no. 3, all Dunblane Museum, is under the turf, near the entrance. The winged angel looking like ribs!
Headstone, now flat, showing heraldic shield, skull, sand timer and crossed bones. Headstone with alien like skull and crossed bones, also date 1740 and letters H,P, A & I. Image of old flatstone, now under turf, shows skull with arm bones and winged angel at chest.

#31daysofgraves Day 9 hand. Dunblane Cathedral graveyard doesn't seem to have any carvings of hands, so I've opted for this epitaph instead. 'Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to thy cross I cling.'
Elizabeth Rose beloved wife of George McIntosh died 1909 76yrs. Large grey granite headstone Epitaph on headstone

#31daysofgraves Day 10 urn. We have a few urns at Dunblane Cathedral graveyard. This is my favourite, as I'm rather partial to a palmette or two or three! John Watson manager of Airthrey paper mill and wife Mary Coubrough. Note blue sky, at last.
Urn, on a headstone, with two styles of palmette. Large sandstone headstone with draped urn on top, surrounded by other headstones and fencing. Trees in background and some blue sky at last!
