Just play closed and prevent progress. Ultimately it will just calculate between its last move being the best move and draw. I love getting these because its almost always an approved report AND win points rather than the few draw points you get if fair play.

Also. Play stockfish yourself.
It does some interesting things.
Like it doesn't understand 3 fold repetition is a draw. It just knows this number is best number. So the easiest way to save a game against a cheat is to get a 3 fold rep. You often can quite early in the midgame usually.

Luckily this is the i only need some engine help cheater. So I took advantage of his inexperience and counter punched them into a time out.

Other tips against a suspected cheater.
Play closed positions. Try to three fold repetition into a draw. If you see a tactic, and youre sure, strike like lightning. Otherwise stay defensive block with your pawn line, and just survive as long as you can with as few mistakes possible. Its not hopeless

Nxc3 I knew had to be an engine move. Any human forking two rooks takes a rook, not sets up mating net. Look how much work the queen had to do, while my double pawn created this beautiful file to set up an easy battery. Overconfident my opponent didn't even bother to protect. Which I exploited.

Basically if you know how to play down a piece you can find moves an engine overlooks. They only calculate the most aggressive path to mate, typically overlooking positional moves that win faster. Its easiest to pull off when the cheater castles giving the king less undefended squares, and room.

Dont cheat at chess

Guy played this insanely perfect surgical position, but as soon as his line looked wrong to him he stopped playing the engine line thinking he had the win.

Not knowing piece advantage is a huge cheater tell. Not knowing position over count is how I punish laxy cheats.

Aggressive opponent with incredibly tight king defense. If not for the tactic I found i was losing this.
Also no way hes 430! He played way above that. Then again so did I so...
