This is BRILLIANT. I'm an older, graying, short white woman who looks harmless enough to an auntie. I hope I don't get the opportunity, but you've just given me the playbook.
Wishing you all success in protecting folks today.
YMMV, but I'm not trusting FDA approval right now.
True story: in the 90's I briefly worked at a city-run tourism org in a N. Michigan town. One of my new bosses gave me a tour. Passing the Italian restaurant she literally said "very few locals eat here b/c it's owned by actual Italians." How soon people forget just how ephemeral "whiteness" is.
Hold out for dark chocolate.
"Potential ethical conflicts"?!? What ethics?
Most Democrats are nowhere near liberal enough for me. What is also true is that I believe that both people currently serving and those who have left the service deserve excellent pay and benefits for life. It's the very least we can and should do. And I don't care if they're Trumpers or not.
Well, that and continuing to ramp up his police state. This is a both/and kind of time, Senator. I appreciate your focus on health care, truly, but you DO know what's happening out there, don't you?

A number of popular protein supplements contain levels of lead that could pose health concerns, according to a new report that tested samples of 23 powders and shakes.
Report Finds Lead in Naked Protein Powders and Other Popular Brands
Experts said the levels were not high enough to cause immediate harm, but raised the risk of long-term health effects.

I'm just shocked that so many of the words in the texts are spelled correctly. #SMDH
And the military occupation of America's cities, and the widespread corruption in the White House, etc. ad nauseam. But at least you folks are growing a proto-spine about something for a change.
This is not an example of better late than never. What did you do, if anything, to prevent this sorry state of affairs from occurring in the first place?
Speaking loudly to cover for his small...whatever it is.
Meanwhile, please explain this: 89/https://ballsandstrikes.substack.com/p/why-is-this-democratic-senator-voting
Absolutely. I was raised primarily by two very damaged women who were highly misanthropic with a special disgust for other women. Those were hard, weird years, but fortunately I'm still here and they're both gone.
I clearly don't remember enough about it. As a girl in the 70's, I do remember just accepting the sexism because at that time it was all considered so normal.
"Stranger" was one of my first SF books, all of which were loaned to me by my best friend's older brother (and my first loooove). I was intellectually gifted and emotionally stunted/overly sheltered and I remember loving it. That was almost 50 years ago, though. What did you hate about it?
My body agrees; at least, with my workout regimen cheese alone just Won't Do It.
