I'm thinking it needs to be in a pile on the floor with an oak sapling growing out of it or something. realistically it'll be less iconic, and where does an oak seedling have to root into on a gallery floor?
I keep a lot of things that I collect in my pockets (cones, pebbles, acorns, matchboxes, ticket stubs), and over time I consolidate them into a large ziplock bag where they're forming what I call "sentimental mulch."
