When we were first together, my sweetie and I went to a karaoke night; I saw they had "Rainbow Connection" so I sang it in my best Kermit voice (in my defense, I had been drinking).
While I was up, a guy came over, gave her his card, and said "Feel free to call me." He was a psychotherapist.

Years ago we went to Caesar's Palace with a friend; he looked up at (the rear view of) the replica of Michelangelo's David and said "Яйца как у слона" ("Balls like an elephant's") - so I guess any room with a full-size David in it, really.

I uploaded a video from my (Android) phone earlier, and - per my setting - it wouldn't let me post it without alt text.
But even though there's an input textbox to add the alt text, there's no way to save it! Eventually I had to temporarily turn off "Require alt text".
That needs fixing.

Voice control over lights/thermostat/stereo/TV/whatever is cool and groovy and futuristic - but if the trade-off is a microphone in my house that listens to everything all the time and has to communicate with the cloud to interpret what I say, then voice control can kiss my curvy ass.

That's the other part about centralized IoT that turns me against it; I also understand that it's the other factor (for the manufacturers) militating against my preferred local-server strategy. It would make each Thing in the IoT cost a bit more, _and_ not reward them with my data, so screw me.
