nothing in business or technology is inevitable, no matter what the wealthy and powerful say. Such things only happen by human decision and human effort, and we all have power to affect the outcomes. We don't have to let the whims and wills of the wealthy tell us what will or won't happen.

I read Robin Wall Kimmerer's book The Serviceberry and some of the things she says in that book really affected me. "Store your abundance in those around you." I don't mean to appropriate something that's not mine but I think about those words every day and I hope to do right by them

i think that telling someone they inadvertently posted their phone number [via dog tag] is at least par with telling them their pants zipper is open i.e. it's a nice thing to do and it's better from a friend than a stranger
