I claim to be from a council house on the mean streets of Wolverhampton, but here I am eating goose pizza.
Criffel seen from Allonby just now.

I'm definitely getting the Mandarina Bavaria hops in this.

A bit late to the show, but let's get this party* started with homebrew Red Ale. Let's not worry overly about it's lack of redness, but focus more on the fruity body, gentle rye & subtle smoke character.

*Friday night.

Currently I've spent hours trying to log onto a work site that has no helpline on the login page & was asked to by a "do not reply" email.
I feel like I'm a hundred years old for just wanting to talk to a human about this rather than follow the circular logic of the instructions #ComputerSaysNo

After a conversation I've just had with my kid - I believe in none for the road. If I've had a drink I may still be under the limit, but I won't drive. I'd always wonder if I caused an accident, if it would have happened if I hadn't had a drink.

This reminds me of Mark Steel's Yorkshire astronauts "we didn't need gravity to keep our feet on the ground, because we're from Yorkshire".

My first bottle of homebrew straightforward Saison has been opened. It's got quite a lemon sherbet flavour, despite only having lager malt, East Kent Goldings & Saison yeast in.

Hold up what you're doing. The mouse from Tom & Jerry's full name is Gerald Jinx Mouse.

Can only think that Cumbria is sourcing traffic lights from across Europe with the number of roadworks currently in operation on the tiny number of roads in the county.

I’ve invented a hot tub from which you can point the finger of blame. I call it the j’accuzzi

Been out on the pop in Whitehaven & found a beer I invented 5 years ago. I called it Seven Bridges after the number of crossings of the Rhine in Cologne, but it's been changed. We agreed it was a perfectly nice drink however.

This new job where I don't have to get up at 04:00 is wonderful for getting a decent night's sleep, but I've found that the time available to do housework has reduced by about ten hours per week. Swings & roundabouts I guess.

It is the first meeting this year of the West Coast Homebrewers today in Whitehaven. We've had a quiet one this year as life has gotten in the way of brewing & I've had an unpredictable work schedule until a fortnight ago.

My straightforward Saison bottled this morning. Europils malt, EKG hops, Saison yeast. Gravity at bottling 1.000. Tastes great at this stage - a little white wine like & acidic.

There's been better vintages, but still a great sipper.

The nicest beer with oats on the allergens list I've ever had. Also - and no coincidence - the driest. Like a grapefruity West Coast IPA but much drier. *Just* my cup of tea.

Love the label art too.
