Ooh. Celestial writing you see in a lot of anime but its roots I believe are in Daoism. You might see jiāngshī or Chinese vampires with a bit of script attached to the forehead, the spell that reanimated their corpse by activating the dark or yin half of the soul.

In karate, the "kiai" is a battle shout. It combines "ki" the Japanese translation of the Chinese "chi" or vital energy and "Ai" which is to blend or harmonize. You might hear a karate-ka shout when performing a powerful punch, kick, or block. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s9K...

Playing around with some code, scanline glitch function and a scanline function that only updates one line of the video per frame, which makes some funny effects over 30 frames per second.

This is a thing with some Christians as many martial arts, particularly the three sisters of Chinese internal martial arts (tai chi being one), have ties to Asian religions or philosophies. Evangelicals often dissuade people from meditating because emptying the remind removes one from God.
