"Trump cannot legally..."

*Gestures broadly at everything*
disillusionedfrog.bsky.social
Lol. They're actively endorsing people being kidnapped in broad daylight and can't say three sentences without lying. If you think they're going to "get serious" you're even more out of touch than I thought.

Condemning virulent racism is the absolute easiest, slow underhand pitch right over the plate for a politician. The fact that he wouldn't speaks volumes.

This morning I emailed my rep two simple questions.

1) Why did you vote to certify the election of an adjudicated insurrectionist in clear violation of the 14th Amendment?

2) Will you commit to advocating for impeachment?

I'll let you know when I hear back.

It feels like the entire Democratic party decided to willfully gaslight their constituency. I can't figure out why either.

So you'll commit to calling for impeachment then?

It is alarming that the Trump Admin & rogue ICE agents would abduct a 13-year-old child from Everett, transport him to a facility over 500 miles away & reportedly subject him to harrowing conditions.

They must stop violating our constitutional rights.

My full statement:
A graphic that reads:

“It is absolutely alarming that the Trump Administration and its rogue ICE agents would abduct a 13-year-old child, transport him to a facility over 500 miles away without his family, lawyer or a court knowing, and reportedly subject him to harrowing, inhumane conditions, including inadequate nutrition and sleeping on a concrete floor with an aluminum blanket while still healing from a broken foot.

“He is a 7th-grader who should have been met with compassion and care, not criminalized and sent to an adult prison.

“The Trump Administration must stop violating the constitutional rights of our constituents. I join the chorus of community voices demanding basic adherence to due process, preservation of this child’s constitutional rights, and his immediate return to his family.”

Wouldn't be violating our constitutional rights if you all hadn't voted to certify his election in violation of the 14th amendment. Just saying. I have yet to see a single dem acknowledge this.

“Win every election” is not a viable strategy for preventing authoritarianism
disillusionedfrog.bsky.social
Is this a serious statement? Or are you saying it because you're trying to be funny?
disillusionedfrog.bsky.social
Will you commit to calling for impeachment?
disillusionedfrog.bsky.social
Spoiler alert: They don't actually see things that way, it's intellectual dishonesty. It's about saying things that support their position, not saying things that are supported by facts.

Why did you vote to certify Trump's election in clear violation of Section 3 of the 14th amendment?

This was preventable if Congress had just....*checks notes* followed the law
disillusionedfrog.bsky.social
Remember when you voted to certify the election of an insurrectionist in violation of Section 3 of the 14th amendment?

You bear culpability.
disillusionedfrog.bsky.social
The fact that you think I am assigning culpability to one person specifically shows you really don't understand the point I'm making at all. They are ALL culpable.

Despite all of Susan Collins’s **concerns**, Russ Vought, who she voted to confirm, still went ahead and fired a boatload of hard-working Americans.

SUSAN COLLINS, Wednesday: "I've made very clear that I do not believe there should be firings of furloughed workers."

RUSS VOUGHT, Friday: "The RIFs have begun."

As I said at the time: there's no such thing as a peaceful transfer of power to an insurrectionist.

If you willingly hand the keys to a drunk driver, you bear culpability.

For some reason there's been a sharp uptick in posts from members of Congress about how terrible the Trump administration is. Almost like they shouldn't have unconstitutionally certified him to begin with.

Keep up the fight, everyone. Get ready to protest next weekend. #RemoveTheRegime

Seems like certifying the election of an insurrectionist in violation of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment was indeed a bad move.

You bear culpability for this. History will not be kind to you.

The reason Mike Johnson is able to keep the House closed and not pass bills to pay the military or fund the government is because Trump is going to circumvent congress and illegally steal that money from other government programs. All to avoid releasing the Epstein files.

This senile liar who currently occupies the White House does not remember that he was President on January 6th.

If you voted for this senile liar, and if you enable him today, you clearly are ok with breaking America. The ruins of our once great nation are because of you.
