As always, I have to thank you for following my account and for your constant support for all my filmmaking projects! I hope I get to continue sharing good news and updates about this and more projects in the near future!
Also, the tone is “Looney Tunes” meets Sam Raimi (“The Evil Dead”, “Drag Me to Hell”) meets Wes Craven (“Scream”, “A Nightmare on Elm Street”)
I don’t want to talk a lot about what this project is about (Although, we already registered our screenplay, so it’s protected by the law). Let’s just say that this is a new take on a horror sub-genre that I love and that I always wanted to work on.
Of course, this was only possible because of my talented and amazing co-writer Fatima Abdulaziz Alshamsi. She’s always been there for me and her talent, hard work, passion and optimism were the reason we wrote this remarkable and unique horror screenplay!
I am beyond excited to share that “Cartoon Man” is heading to the Big Apple as an Official Selection at the New York City Horror Film Festival Screenplay Competition 2025! It’s such a big honor to be selected along the other 7 feature screenplays so thank you so much for this opportunity!

We continue getting more good news!!! “Cartoon Man” is a Quarter-Finalist at FilmQuest 2025!!! I had such an amazing time when I was a Semi-Finalist with my other screenplay “La Parca” a couple years ago, so it’s an honor to participate again in this outstanding festival!!!

I want to thank the organizers and The Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah for this incredible opportunity! I’m sure our project will continue doing amazingly in this and upcoming festivals and competitions!
It’s been just two weeks since we shared our new project “Cartoon Man” to all of you, and now I’m excited to announce that we are currently a Semi-Finalist at the 2025 HorrorFest International Film Festival!!!
In the meantime, all I have left to do is thank you for all your amazing support for my filmmaking career and my projects. I’ll keep you posted with all the important updates and I hope I can make my triumphant return to sets soon.
It’s been hard to stay away of sets but working on these screenplays have helped me with my filmmaking career and I am hoping that these projects can be on the big screen one day.
