It’s funded by V/C in San Fransisco. It’s created as a disruptor and like a lot of disruptors it’s trying to make money by outsourcing its responsibilities. The obstructions caused by the number of bikes left anywhere, the injuries caused to riders by their weigh etc etc solving that - outsourced

Do you have a link for that press conference as a google only the closest I could find https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5ypjd7gepmo which said 109 attempted but 97 lost but also described it as “one of the worst” incidents of its kind. So not the basis for an assumption.
