Yet, at the same time, shadows outline and mark the limits of our existence, revealing our mortality.

2 In this sense, light has an effect of pure candor, helping to reveal both the transience of life, of beauty itself, and of time. Grace, captured forever in paintings and photographs, is in reality made of fleeting moments that vanish and never return.
