Nice to see a new ATP platform being developed (hope to see it truly decentralized sometime), but mastodon currently has a large userbase and many EU instances (and is decentralized!). Some EU gov's are already using it too.

Perfect time to switch to FLOSS selfhosted alternatives!
Past few days I got hit on discord with age verification prompt despite not being a resident of UK/Aus.
It appears it's currently worldwide, done at random, not all users receive it, and - for now - it's limited to the desktop app. Editing preference options is locked until I surrender my id.
