What other city in the world would allow a 20ft bonfire to be constructed in a residential area, next to a power station that supplies hospitals? And where else would the police refuse to remove it because of threats by paramilitaries?

There are 2 BTL comments after the Graun's Oasis live review. One makes the Baudrillardian point that Oasis never really existed (true). The other says that people just really really like Oasis ( also true). These two points sum it all up for me: Oasis don't exist and people really really like them.
