Beliefs are like shoes. Mine fit me, not you, but that doesn't make your feet bad. Old shoes fall apart. New shoes need breaking in.
When all the world seems to conspire against you, rebel through non-participation in stress. No need to play their game.

"And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, abstaining from divisive speech, abstaining from abusive speech, abstaining from idle chatter: This, monks, is called right speech.”
Everyone is on a path and needs help from time to time, so why do we think we’re so special? #community
Mere suffering exists, no sufferer is found.
The deeds are, but no doer of the deeds is there,
Nirvana is, but not the one who enters it.
The path is, but no traveller on it is seen.

- Visuddhi Magga
Sometimes it’s obvious what would be best, yet we do something else instead, despite knowing better. It’s ok to stop, take a deep breath, reflect, try again. As long as we have breath, this is a new moment, fresh with possibility. Best to leave the past be.

Brahma Muhurta

To awaken in the very early darkness and walk and meditate in the holy quiet is to gather peace unto ourselves to share with others.
There are more bacterial cells within the human body than there are human cells. Upon our skin reside trillions of living things. Regarding this body as me, myself, mine, makes little sense, when we can’t even distinguish where “me” gives way to the overwhelmingly immense populations we host.
This sun of wisdom, this moon of compassion, this body Earth enlightened.
Traditionally, the 4 sufferings are birth, old age, sickness, and death. Observing these spurred the future Buddha to seek out the truth about suffering. The kind of suffering that can be eradicated is more akin to our reactions to things. But this doesn’t diminish or ignore that life can be hard.
Human nature is common to all of us, and overzealous religious conviction can bring out the worst in anyone of any faith.
I have tried to teach you the genuine Gospel teaching about the true face of Jesus, which apparently you reject. I am not answerable to you. Please re-read Romans 14:12-13. Please consider if your words attract people to the Gospel, or drive them away from the Gospel. Peace & love.
No bait and switch. This is genuinely the Gospel teaching about the true face of Jesus, which apparently you reject. I am not answerable to you. Please re-read Romans 14:12-13. Peace & love.
I sense that you are not genuinely interested in the answer to that question, and also that you do not understand anything about Dharma. “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” Matt. 25:45. This also is a Gospel message of love.
“Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” Matt. 25:45. This is the truth about the true face of Jesus, as taught in the Gospel. It does matter, and it is not trivial. Peace & love.
If it doesn’t matter to you what he looked like, then why do you choose to portray him as a European white man? I assume this means you won’t be re-reading Matthew 25. I think you missed my point, which is 100% consistent with the Gospel message, in contrast with your adversarial comments.
I assume this means you won’t be re-reading Matthew 25. As you review these comments we have exchanged, I will invite you to consider which one of us is actually conveying the Gospel message of love, and which one of us is doing something very different and actually antithetical.
Why do you assume English is my second language? And why do you make the comment as if it were an insult, do you think people who speak other languages are somehow less worthy of our respect? Please re-read Matthew 25. This may help you understand the true face of Jesus. Peace & love.
Please re-read Matthew 25. This may help you understand the true face of Jesus. IMO, proliferating images of Jesus as a supposed white European male while also vehemently objecting to a different image of a brown Jesus only harms the Gospel message in this era of ascending racism and insensitivity.
I am merely inviting you to look for the true face of Jesus, your Savior. Do you think your aggressive resistance to this invitation is inspired by the Holy Spirit, or could it possibly be vain ego? We will not see what we refuse to look for.
So it is your position that Jesus was a European white man, as portrayed in your post?
This is not our Earth, though everyone now living will become part of it. We do not own this Earth; she owns us.
