I am silly and got a PhD in music theory. I like pop music, Renaissance (my diss is on Victoria), and late 19th/early 20th century American music. Mostly on here for sports (BOS/CIN/UConn).

roberts’s constitution allows for racial discrimination as long as you don’t say you’re racially discriminating, because in a classic bit of racecraft, roberts’s constitution forbids acknowledging race but has no particular issue with racism.
Speak like a normal human Hakeem! This is nonsense to the ill informed!

Meanwhile SCOTUS thinks that racial discrimination is not a problem.

Silver and Enten are definitely 1%ers and they don't realize that the vast majority of people don't bet in these markets, nor do they want to, nor do they have the money to.

It's a rich person playground.
The problem is that people like Enten and Silver think these betting markets are a truer representation of the collective consciousness, when in reality they are easier to manipulate than plain old surveys.

"More severe global consequences" is a scary phrase. Because it could just mean deep economic recession. It could also mean much much worse.
Currently has a major lead on all 2028 GOP nomination polls.
This is such a crazy argument!!! Wtf?!
Louisiana guy "If you look at the black population in Louisiana, they're all over the place."

Again, the fundamental argument for why Louisiana (which has 6 congressional districts and is 1/3 nonwhite) should over-represent white folks is because black folks are "too spread out."

They are of course wrong. Understanding how race works in something like, voting, doesn't mean you *must* discriminate against one group or another. But Gorsuch and Brett can't see it that way. Because when *they* "use" race, it's always to discriminate.

The fight here with Gorsuch and Kav vs Nelson is whether the "use" of race automatically means "discrimination" on the basis of race.

That's interesting to me, because it's basically the white folks telling on themselves. They cannot see a "use" of race that isn't synonymous with discrimination.
Wtf does this mean?!
Alito is saying that the black population in Louisiana is not geographically "compact" enough for the black population in Louisiana to have fair voting rights.
