Honestly at this point damage is done for at least half a century; we absolutely have to fix this and improve, but the current administration has created spawned an entire generation of radicalized people in close proximity to the United States; there will absolutely be terrorism

So how do you go about flagging something in the alpha if you’re not in the alpha as “ok blizzard you’ve put together two words that have both have another (and the same) derogatory meaning in the uk and even though it’s likely just an unfortunate coincidence you might want to change that”

Dude I KNOW. I can’t count the amount of games I’ve seen that are really amazing and still don’t pay the bills. Or the amount that are only sustainable because the devs live in a super low cost of living country

A long time ago at a studio that doesn’t exist anymore, I was sitting with QA prepping to submit while they tested our final RC when a designer came by and was like, “hey I added some skins, could you kick a new build, the producers don’t need to know”

My spiciest opinion is that game devs would make great politicians. Have a vision, work hard to make it happen. Used to getting conflicting feedback and making sense of it. Aware they won’t please everyone but try to please many people. Thick skin from useless noise negative feedback, etc

Any power you give to the government will be abused. The government is important and does important things, but it is powerful and so it must be strictly controlled. Business is a similar problem; whenever power is concentrated, it must be regulated carefully

I’m strongly opposed to even bringing up secession because the founders had a very good point that a divided country is likely to eventually go to war with neighbors on the same continent. However, we’ve had a civil war anyway, and now we’re apparently allowing state on state invasions…

My favorite part of this is seeing the right be pure reactionary, “yes we love kings, what of it” like there is literally no policy concept except “the opposite of what the adults said”
