That cape has become more frayed along the bottom over the years but I don’t mind. The clasp fastenings are always the weak point as all of the weight and drag force ends up there. That cape is light enough that those forces stay relatively light. The heavier the fabric, the higher those forces get.

Bridal satin but with quite a lot of reinforced stitching at the clasp. And as seen below even that gave way by the end of the day. Currently experimenting with other fabrics to find something that moves well but is a little less… ethereal.

Me and my trusty travel tripod. Would have liked to have moved to different areas of the summit but there were only a couple of places I could set up tripod and it not be immediately blown over.
