If you're worried about "big AI", take heart.

Based on past tech macro-cycles, right about now is when one would expect the dominant AI player of the future to be founded. It's a time to draft behind the current leaders and emerge solvent at the end of the post-hype trough.

Go forth and start it.

Bill Clinton could redeem himself for a lot of disappointing shit by acknowledging this little Epstein experiment with Trump.

Just saying, you’re 79 dude, go out big.

We have another candidate in the race to replace Jerry Nadler in NY’s 12th cong district.

This time it’s Mathew Shurka who is Jewish, gay, Iranian, and his dad is Israeli.

Shurka has spent the last years successfully getting conversion therapy banned for minors in states across the country.

For anyone on the fence about AI for dev - try pair programming!

Pairing often suffers when the typist can't keep up with the flow.

AI code generation is scary fast, but needs twice the vigilance and review, because LLMs are vicious and semi-malicious digital gremlins.

Together they're 😙🤌.

Tesla Q1 Operating income of $399M includes $595M of regulatory credits, used by other car manufacturers needing to mitigate their fleet emissions.

TSLA sales are plummeting but EV sales overall growing quickly, so other brands' needs for regulatory credits are probably already gone.

Even if Trump _doesn’t_ fire Powell, does anyone really think the person he nominates to replace him in a year is going to be even remotely qualified?

It’s just a difference of a few months, the market (and financial press) seems to be missing the point.
Trump has said the US central bank should have lowered interest rates — and that Powell’s “termination cannot come fast enough.”

Here's what a president can and can’t do to the Fed ⤵️

Why do VCs keep giving this scam artist money? Why does the tech press keep giving him attention?

Compare Ryan Breslow & Adam Neumann vs Elizabeth Holmes & Charlie Javice for great examples of "Tech Bros who'd be in jail if they were women, but instead are free and get fully funded new ventures."

Still not gonna donate though.

Angry lgbt rights protests in the late 90s were absolutely epic, if only because they were the best possible place to meet other queer people.

HIV fundraisers were fucking grim, no matter how many drag queens sashayed through.

The lesson is to protest for the future before it’s too late.
The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people.

We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

Thursday: DJIA drops 2.39%.
Friday: DJIA drops 4.60%

On Monday, Oct. 19th, it fell 22.6% in one day.

Today business leaders are beginning to learn that just because a political candidate is easily bought does not mean they will work out well for their wealth.

Bezos is now a few dozen billion poorer than he’d have been under Kamala, easily.

The IRS has its budget Doge’d so deeply that it’s unable to pursue tax cheats, and aligned itself with the new Gestapo to deport tax-paying undocumented residents.

Unrelated: it’s too bad nobody has figured out a good way to protest the new regime en masse such that the administration will feel it.
