Our Signal Beast won the Spookality Avatar Jam! My team of @matrices.bsky.social , @scrunklestheminer.bsky.social , and I worked hard for weeks to make it from scratch. Here is the first concept sketch of the avatar, and some fun photos during testing.

Here's some of the concept art of the Signal Beast I did during the process our team went through developing the character!

A very generic ref sheet sort of thing. Just getting the bodyplan down for the main character. Some notes on body plan, head, tail, and number of digits.

The creature taking shape looking more menacing and having antennae now. These are pencil sketches and are a little less detailed but still show off the character.

Another image dated Oct 1 with three Signal Beasts shown, it is in a TV cabinet reaching out, and having small antennae as well as an open mouth with tongue out.

Signal Beast admires a TV while siting on the countertop next to it. It is a lizard-like creature with long claws and spikes down its head, and 2 antenna-shaped antennae for sensing signals. Its body is made up of static and television channels and it can inhabit a television.

Signal Beast lays between 2 TVs, absorbing the static from both.

We went frolicking in the woods to pick wild berries, then made pancakes with them! These are Trailing Blackberries, Salmonberries, and Thimbleberries. The Thimbleberries were extra delicious!
