Just had this recced to me by the goodreads algorithm. Would you recommend?
My 100th read of the year (Sawkill Girls) plus a read from several years ago (Wilder Girls), both featuring islands that would make terrible vacation destinations. #booksky #parrallelreads
Fun times celebrating the publication of Grab Bag #3!
Two books about fairies, one where they serve as a metaphor for human nature and another where they...are far less metaphorical

I mean it's good. I'm glad I read it, and appreciated the context it provided. But my goodness is no stone left unturned lol.
If you can only read one, read James by Percival Everett. But if you've got 55+ hours to spare, why not both? #booksky #parallelreads
What's the name for this genre that's horror but like, artsy?

Honestly I didn't even find Wake The Bones scary because the eldritch horrors were described so beautifully. Don't Let the Forest In was a bit more unsettling, but the imagery was likewise top notch.

I'm not familiar with that one! Thanks for the rec 😁
Is it bad form to skip the interludes in #stormlight archives? Because this library book is due in three hours and... #booksky
Have you heard of the blog Query Shark? I highly recommend, as it gives great advice on the dos/don'ts of structuring a query. Best of luck in the process!
Vacation prompt and free-write dump!
Is airplane romance a new sub genre I'm not familiar with?
I love how your plot description could be read as either either thriller or cozy!
I love that this series truly understands that acadamia isn't about secret societies and gothic architecture so much as petty rivalries, proper citation of sources, and of course the constant pursuit of funding.
For real. The activation energy required to start a new book is so great that I always overlap my reads haha
If my cats could talk they would definitely not be as intelligent as Hera lol
ISO a book that takes a deep dive into the sociological/historical/political history of the concept of Laziness. Something like Laziness Does Not Exist but more commentary than self-help, if that makes sense

When you don't want series to end but also want to read it as quickly as possible! Lol
I was just telling my bookclub about the hockey romance subgenre!
Posted by first Netgalley review for #Dreadmarrow by Margie Benedict. A breezy and charming read.
