I want to add I live in a small town in Texas (fewer than 1800 people) and my local library has purchased literally every single book I've requested over the past 5 years I've lived here. They want you to read and want to get you what YOU want to read! Libraries are magic. ✌️🖤📚
If you can't afford a book, use your library. If your library doesn't have the book, ask them to buy it. You can ask them to buy a physical book, an ebook, an audiobook, or an e-audiobook.
