Singapore PM on the change in the global order given the US is no longer the insurer of stability - a sentiment that will go beyond the current administration. But nobody else has stepped in building a foundation of multipolarity amid turbulence.

It's hard to overstate how fully engaged Chicago and the surrounding suburbs are in this ICE madness. There are neighborhood watch alerts, spontaneous crowds gathering outside schools at pick up & drop off plus madly blowing whistles and honking car horns, this city is fighting back and hard.

I’m working on holiday merchandise this week and next week.

I’ve spent the last 10 months squirreling away product and materials so I can keep my prices the same this year and as long as possible.

It’s small businesses like mine that will feel the crunch the most.

The Home Depot continues to allow ICE to terrorize the communities they pretend to serve. Let’s show them the same kindness we did to target!

It’s hard to convey just how much Chicagoans are mobilizing against ICE. Don’t want to downplay the harm, or make it seem like a fair fight. But in neighborhoods across this city, ICE is getting chased by people blowing whistles and shouting. People are running TOWARD ICE to protect their neighbors.

Don't let the Marines off the hook. They chose to participate, they fired.
Pretty sure they mean "right away" as in not wanting to wait (immediate gratification).
Do you mean why did the Marines willingly choose to risk the safety of civilians?
"They" understand you might skip Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales, but you'll eventully buy the products anyway. You aren't teaching them a lesson; different day, same money for them.

Buy local, from small Mom & Pop stores, or local artists.
Don't let the military off the hook in all of this. They were well aware they were putting civilians at risk.

There has been a lot of ICE activity in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago today. There has also been a lot of ICE watch and rapid response activity. We love our community, and we are showing up for each other.
It's mostly the same here (US).
This is good news. We need more of this.
OMG! Mychal did it. Anyone who first caught this wonderful human gaining an audience on TikTok knew there was something special happening. What an incredible journey and story. Promoting reading and libraries is so damn important right now, and I can't think of a better ambassador.
