"The Dagger" is the minor deity of murder. She revels in the thrill and ecstasy of murder and loves impulsive killings as much as planned masterful murders.

This illustration allowed me to play with expressions and get back to working with darker themes, which I love.

One of the funny things about working on book art is that I often don't get to read the book before I paint for it.

I'm just now finally reading The Raven Scholar (which I painted this art for last year for a special edition) and LOVING it!
