my latest investigation for @consumerreports.org is based on months of reporting and 60+ lab tests of leading protein supplements

we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day (🧵)

Women did not speak half the words in a single one of these Oscar-winning movies (1991-2018). I would like to see analysis of later films (eg Anora, Everything Everywhere), but this is looking terrible!

'When authoritarians seize power, it is crucial to recognize courageous defenders of freedom who rise and resist,' the Norwegian Nobel Committee said as it announced Maria Corina Machado as the winner of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize
I lived in Portland for my residency. I have to say all of the footage it is exactly what I would expect.
Also “sophisticated” would not have been the word I would’ve used to describe the city, at least when I lived there.
The following is REAL footage from Portland, 2025. Viewer discretion is advised.
The sunset and sunrise do look incredible!
Now I have more homework to do to look at that option, which is good! Thank you
Oh, interesting! I’ll look into that. The Ghan is 4 days Darwin to Adelaide or three the other way, so we have a tiny bit of time to play with!
That’s a great point! And definitely flying most of the way. That’s what I was leaning towards!
Need some travel help for #Australia, round trip to Sydney in the Jul-Sept range for 2 weeks

Options
1. The Ghan train ride
2. Cairns/Great Barrier Reef
3. Uluru

Is it too much to do all three? Which would you give up? Dan really wants to do the Darwin-Adelaide or vice versa train ride

Help!

…and @drjaimefriedman.bsky.social @drscottk.medsky.social @deannamarie208.bsky.social @tphammd.bsky.social and of course @tom.medsky.social 🙂

MANY more pediatricians that bring hope, facts, and clarity. If you’re a parent or grandparent, or just want solid info on child health, search #PedSky 👶🏼💕👧🏽
This list from the AAP on pediatricians to follow for trustworthy content is great but also missing @drelizabethmurray.bsky.social, @shematologist.medsky.social, @oligoclonalband.medsky.social, and @peterhotezmdphd.bsky.social.

It's too biased towards Instagram creators IMO.

Psst. Yeah, you.

The best time to introduce palliative care to a patient with a progressive condition was long ago when they were stable.

The second best time is now.
#PedsICU should always be thinking about how to move the care along!

Especially now since we have more peds overflow than we used to.

lol asked about dispo plans on a PICU patient transferred out to the floor and the silence on the other line made me wonder if 98% of the reason this provider works in the ICU is to avoid thinking about discharge planning/outpatient management

“More than 22 million people receive the subsidies, which are set to expire at the end of the year unless Congress extends them. Losing the subsidies could mean that average out-of-pocket premium payments could double in 2026, from $888 a year to $1,904” #shutdown

Even if not a single person in all of these states voted for him, it would still be immoral and illegal to do this, but in reality, these states have approximately 32 million citizens who voted for Trump. He is perfectly happy to screw over his own voters.
