Americans have been dragged, tackled, beaten, tased and shot by immigration agents.

They’ve had their necks kneeled on.

They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear.

At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them.
More Than 170 U.S. Citizens Have Been Held by Immigration Agents. They’ve Been Kicked, Dragged and Detained for Days.
The government does not track how often immigration agents grab citizens. So ProPublica did. Our tally — almost certainly incomplete — includes people who were held for days without a lawyer. And near...

Volvo’s right — laws and bans matter. When the EU wavers on 2035 and the US softens clean-car rules, they’re not helping legacy automakers; they’re slowing themselves while China accelerates. Regulation is the spine of every transition. Without it, the West bends. With it, it competes. ⚡🌍 #EVS #LFP
Volvo's CEO Just Said The Quiet Part Loud About 2035's Gas Car Ban

Energy transitions can happen faster than we think:

In 2000 almost 90% of Denmark's electricity was from fossil fuels.

In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

EV/NEV share in China is already 50%+ — not 40. And exports? China sent 6.4m cars abroad in 2024, crushing Japan’s 4.2m and Germany’s 3.2m. Domestic dominance + an export explosion = the #lithium demand inflection. 2025–2030 is about to vaporise every outdated forecast. 🔋🌏 #LFP #EVS #BEV #Disruption

Remember 6 weeks ago when Admiral Alvin Holsey, head of the U.S. military’s southern command, abruptly decided to retire?
Makes me think at least one top-ranking officer knows what a war crime is.

Victory! SBCTA is cancelling the ONT Tesla Tunnel project - which would have duplicated BRT with an tunnel for cars - after construction costs escalated to $1-2 B. Time to pivot to electrification and 15 minute service on the San Bernardino line, planning for future multi-use heavy rail to ONT.

If service-led planning was mandatory, SBCTA wouldn't have wasted years of staff time on this boondoggle and would be already advancing better alternatives.

And while the ONT connector thankfully did not have success w/ grants, patchwork competitive grant programs kept hope alive for years.

But the market is picking up speed and electric trucks have become a reality. Expectations are for significant market expansion in the coming years.

Europe's electricity system is changing rapidly and often in places that don't make the headlines.

Look at Estonia - not that long ago and fossil fuels dominated around 90% of electricity generation.

Today solar and wind eat more and more into the share of fossil fuel-generated electricity.

2. Households being taxed to pay for infrastructure used by industry

3. Electric grid not designed for climate change, extreme weather driving rebuilding costs up

Solutions:
1. VPPs & efficiency
2. Build clean energy
3. Accountable PUCs
You are a random Dem running in 2026 -- say, for some House seat in some swing state. You're on local media. You're asked: "what are three reasons that energy prices are rising & what are three things you'd like to do to bring them down?" What's your answer?
