I’ve been occasionally breaking down into a mess throughout the day, but I am finding solace in the 4+ hours of conversation I recorded with Itagaki-san last year for a book we were working on together. They were his development memoirs, and I will do everything in my power to bring this to life.

When our engineers examined MK Trilogy's code, they found areas where loading time could be optimized, so we did that! In the original game, there would often be a lengthy pause whenever Shang Tsung morphed into a different character; now it's instant, thanks to our code tweaks. Exclusive to MKLK!

The funniest thing to me in the world was when the 360 launched Tomonobu Itagaki doing a press tour for DoA4 and being asked about achievements. He was asked about them and just said "what are those?" When told they were required be just said "oh then they're probably in there whatever"

My tip is try to look for faulty soldering first and then go to capacitors.

The main problem was faulty soldering.
At first I suspected the capacitors so I replaced a lot of them but the real problem was the soldering.

The middle aged man's urge to fix a huge CRT.
This one almost didn't turn on. It was a lot of work. Replaced almost 20 caps. But in the end the problem was in the soldering of the main RGB chip.
Now its working beautiful.

I did another update for my Deus Ex modern setup package, it now includes a fix for the GEP gun model in widescreen and ultrawide monitors. I've also added an updated Unreal Engine 1 audio subsystem, replacing Galaxy with FMOD.
