Daniel is on a roll. He puts a ton of work into what he does, it is not simply "shit that sounds cool" even though it is also that. I imagine his next batch or work is going to dig even deeper. Well worth supporting directly if you are able to.
2025 was a good year. It was the first year since 2022 that I was paid for my music work (3lobed went nuclear on me & trashed my catalog) but still never been paid for 2023/24. Getting regular Bandcamp payouts has changed my life tho. Lots of mixed feelings, tons of new work on the way for 2026. ❤️🔥🪕

Lol sometimes I post in an extremely dry & boring manner. I chalk it up to character limits to a degree, but "singular and cool" is not as good as "singularly cool." You get the gist I imagine, but yeah The Caribbean is delightfully unique art rock. Very beautiful, wry, and full of subtle surprise.

Will probably forever be a grump about this day until it doesn't exist. For me it soured when some of the people who created Bandcamp Friday & pushed to imagine the enterprise as a better, worker-focused place (unionized etc.) were pushed out. Using the branding just feels off to me personally.

If all goes well we will record a decent take of the final Radon Abatement song to go on our first release tonight. I really love this song and hope we get it. It has been a long road but it will feel very good when we can finally share this thing. I love every song that will go on it.

There are thousands of records released each year worth noting, tons of them good to very good to great. No one needs to apologize for "sleeping on" or missing a bunch of them, as who in their right mind could listen to it all? List culture does lots of things to folks but this one is unnecessary.

I think unfortunately social media has primed many people for engaging in relationships with chat bots etc. Essentially they've been doing it for years already. I've been trying to pull myself out of social media quite a bit & to a degree I've succeeded, but it isn't hard to remember me circa 2020.

This show ended up about as good as I could've imagined it. Thanks to those who came out and helped make it a good night. Felt both lucky and glad to know a bunch of those people. A real cross-section of some of my favorite people, both old friends and new. I think we played pretty well too.

I cannot imagine outsourcing your sense of humor. I mean, biting someone else's joke is occasionally fine & fun to do. If someone hasn't heard it before you may be doing them a solid, but nothing works without the delivery of said joke being good/effective. You in fact cannot outsource this.
