Absolutely thrilled to say that Aaron (@waarontear.bsky.social) finally got engaged!

He only went and made a whole RPG full of our in-jokes and references over the last 8 years, and after beating the final boss I was rewarded with this lovely proposal. Very us 🥹

Probably my first time in memory I've not had the new Pokémon game on release day - I really want it but can't justify *another* game right now, I have about 6 on the go at the moment between Silksong, Hades 2, FF Tactics and some others I was flirting between recently. There aren't enough hours!

For the second time this year I seem to be banned from following anyone new on Instagram? The error message I get is that "some people prefer to review followers manually" which the internet agrees is a fake message disguising that you've been marked as a bot and can't follow new people 😭

I think there's the odd chapter where he's writing about a tangential character that might dip into that as sort of real-time observational stuff but otherwise I can't think of any instances of it.

Finished the latest Thursday Murder Club book and...meh? I was enjoying the middle but it all resolved with a giant shrug of the shoulders?

Feel there were quite a few missed moments. Not least of all that Joyce laments that she hasn't contributed anything to the mystery and then...never does?

Xbox's plan seemed to be a platform more than a console. There was something Phil Spencer said about a vision for having Gamepass on Switch and PlayStation or something. "Give us your money and we'll help you play anything anywhere" but I'm not sure that's materialising

To him, 2 weeks off the gym is anathema, unheard of, bad for body and soul. In my mind there is nothing I wanted to do less while on holiday or feeling poorly than making myself hot and sweaty. It is the first thing to go when I'm not feeling 100%. And it's *how* they feel 100%. Really worlds apart

Been off the gym for 2 weeks, between London for Gaga and then a week of illness. And my CrossFit coach's response this morning when I said I'd been off was to exclaim "two weeks?!" and it has sent me spiralling because gym-fit people really don't get what life is like for normies do they

Pretty much every SE mobile titles bombs, or has a short shelf life.
