Sorry folks, but William Shatner is taking the night off. In his place we've got Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman. Seems like a fair trade to me. 😀
Lynda Carter's "Wonder Woman" premiered 50 years ago, on November 7, 1975. (This was the pilot movie, with the first season of the weekly series premiering the next April.) @lyndacarter.bsky.social

A couple weeks ago I went to the 2025 Baltimore Comic Con. I already posted a video about what I bought but here are some more notes about the show.

A solid but complex noir which must be a little tricky to follow even for those whose first language is French.
Secret agent Lemmy Caution (Eddie Constantine), who wears a Bogart-like trench coat, comes to futuristic Alphaville to retrieve a missing agent, neutralize Alphaville's creator and destroy its dictatorial computer, Alpha 60. A Godard classic. "Alphaville" (1965) #neonoir

I closed out Noir City DC for 2025 with a pair of films from 1951, Cry Danger (my favorite from the second weekend) and Tomorrow Is Another Day (which had potential but ended with a whimper).

I saw a few more films during the second weekend of Noir City DC. Both 99 River Street and The Long Wait were fun and a little wacky but worth my time. They just didn't land with kind of weight that I hoped they would.

Really good film. I love Audrey Totter's performance in this movie although the way they wrapped things up for her wasn't exactly what I expected or wanted.

The last couple films I saw during the first week of Noir City DC were Out of the Past (1947) and Hell's Half Acre (1954).

#whatiwatched I saw three more films between the second and third days of Noir City DC. My favorite of the three was Tension (1949). The other two were The Prowler (1951) and Mary Ryan, Detective (1949).
