They desperately need to nuke the entire assist system out of the game and retool it.
Everything else is p cool but this assist system needs to go asap, it's genuinely awful.

GameFreak didn't have abilities in Legends Arceus but they still made sure to code in Slow Start for Regigigas to make sure it's turbo ass even on a game with no PVP purely for the love of the game.

Video games gotta be the only medium out there where just plopping a segment out of it and writing critique around it, or defining it as the 'core' of the work, is like... deemed as acceptable instead of being seen as totally insane.

Preliminary thoughts on Ninja Gaiden 4 (about half the game done):
Pretty normal action game. Team Ninja's goal when hiring Platinum for it seems to have been a achieved based on how the game ticks in moment to moment combat.

RE4R gives you way too many grenades I think.
