Been waiting for this to get out: I’ve finished a short with Exceptional Minds Studios called “Watch Your Tone”. It’ll premiere at Silver Lake Shorts this Friday and hopefully be uploaded to the EM YouTube channel soon after. This is a personal story to me, and I’m happy with the end result.

I remember once when watching MeTV Toons late at night, this episode of "Marine Boy", a classic anime, played, and I caught this moment on TV.
Episode: "Monsters of the Deep"

The sudden cut to the woman's face and her scream is one of the funniest things ever!

I'm trying to remember. There were an awful lot of casualties that day, Charlie Brown.
Does he look like a bitch, Charlie Brown?
You do not talk about Fight Club, Charlie Brown.

Little word of advice: This specific scenario is very unlikely to happen, but if a creator of a show or movie you hated literally kidnapped you, pointed a gun to your head and said “Watch my creation or die”, then is it is okay to act like the creator is pure evil for making the thing you dislike.

I just wanna stress that I do NOT believe there is no value in “good writing”. But a good story/script is your skeleton, it is not the entire body.

Hey, I just want everybody to know I’m not dead. I’m just… trying to get on here less. Procrastination and self-hatred and unwillingness to do anything due to lack of confidence are still issues I am struggling with, so it’s been hard for me to really do anything.

meant to share this sooner. November 10, 2025 marked the first time this short was shown on TV since 1994. One of the early works of Ralph Bakshi and the final short released by Paramount. The premise is a twist on the typical cat vs mouse set-up.
