No silver bullet for addressing our multi-layered #mentalhealth crisis, but this approach via @repdangoldman.bsky.social for funding expanded services + more psychiatric beds is a huge piece of the puzzle.

Setting aside the 2x price tag and years late - If NYC DOC isn't able to put these beds to use NYC DOHMH or NYS OASAS should take it over and put to immediate help with chronic street SUD/SMI pop!
