We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

Before they kick me out of the Crest Global Finance scam site, I noticed that the 'request' link gives a Bitcoin address. I re-registered a few times and the address is always the same. This is likely the address they use to make you think you're being paid ...

I log into the scam website and can see it's a fake finance site. I give the scammer my username so they can 'pay me'.

Using a virtual machine and a fake email addy, I open the site and register for an account. No email confirmation or anything was needed, they want you to stay on the site so you don't take a moment to doubt it.

(Never open sites like this on your normal computer)

I get them to just keep talking on BlueSky and they ask me to register for an account on Crest Global Finance dot com (a fake website run by them).

To try and avoid getting banned, they try and move the conversation off the platform. I warn them Telegram isn't safe, and surprisingly they give a gmail address!

They clicked on my link, which now gave me some information on their device. I use this later on when it's time to give them a spook.

I was surprised they weren't using a VPN, this scammer is sloppy.
