But it's clear that people in the UK are dissatisfied with how independent and neutral the BBC is.

I doubt it, if the chat is as banal as it's main chat. Can you imagine? Explaining the pros&cons 😂 and hallucinating random stuff? "I wanna 54 with you, although some sources agree that 32 and 81 are also good positions. The most common we shall attempt is the classic "monastery" position.

Nowadays the X config seems to be getting smaller and smaller as things auto configure more and more. I don't even think I have an xorg.conf anymore it's all automatic. We're moving closer to the windows model of having everything configurable through the UI, which is nice but it's making me lazy :)

AHH such happy days. I was hacking motif on a system just like that. Really eye opening, and stood me in good stead for when the world suddenly decided visual UI designers were bad and we should go back to designing UIs in config files :D

The app for this updater doesn't warn you when it's about to reboot. Windows just popped up a message saying that there was an update available and then suddenly the laptop shut down in the middle of writing the bios..I screamed like a mad person thinking windows had just rebooted without asking.
