a big pet peeve for me is when folks start using the term "final design" too much, particularly expecting that to mean a Figma link.

static images are very distant from the final product, and expecting the designer's work to mostly end there is very short sighted.

two bangers on this week's Joy & Curiosity imo: "Be Kind" and "Burn Your Title". two posts that came in super timely for me right now; you should read'em!

The noise of someone kicking in a door. A chair falling over. Feet shuffling on the floor.

Then, silence. But suddenly: a joyous scream.

There it is, there it is.

A new Joy & Curiosity!

top 5 feelings in life is discovering a new song that you just want to listen non-stop for the entire day.

i always get concerned about running out of them, but similarly happy when i eventually discover one that really sticks!

it just happened 🥲

exciting new release! for a few months now, i have been saying here and there: "Git is coming!" and it's finally here. the team nailed it all!

also check out the sweet page we did to promote it, with some niceties such as a UI breakdown section!

one of the things I appreciated the most out of read.cv was how high quality their job board was. as they wind down, it felt like there'd be a gap.

so, @vzanivan.com & I build a lil thing: roles.at — a new, cozy place to which you can add (or migrate) your open role!

open for feedback!

sometimes, it feels right to break the norm: most sites/web apps these days use cmd+K as their search keybinding. however, that isn’t super significant for Zed… but cmd+shift+P is!

it triggers the Command Palette, a fundamental Zed element. baking product education on the site!

a big pet peeve of mine in this American-dominated world we live in is when, in location inputs, they write City, State. like: "this is obviously in the US, everyone knows"; where the rest of the world writes "City, Country", sorry to all my American friends 😅

2025 seems to be the year of “is work/life balance even a thing?” 😮‍💨 I guess that does not exist anymore at all

i'm building a job posting platform during off-hours, exploring different pieces of tech, and it's been super fun ensuring the whole thing can be navigated super well just using the keyboard. love adding keybinding affordances!

really, really glad i only started binging Severance this past week. imagine waiting for almost three years after that goddamn cliffhanger, jesus.

good show, after all. kinda seeing some Lynchian elements on it. but maybe just biased due to mourning him. 🙁

this is a sad day. few pieces of art have impacted me as much as Lynch's Twin Peaks and the profound philosophies embedded on it. there goes one of the greatest, most creative minds out there.
Lynch's sincerity and his penchant for exploring human darkness ultimately sprung from the same well, which is why his influence is so vast and why it's so difficult to do something """Lynchian.""" But he really loved when a thing was earnest and "corny," as seen below.
