There's a moment each day when the solar tops off the batteries and starts selling electricity back to the power companies for PENNIES, and that's when the AC goes down to 70, baby. ❄️
I've found KDP to be faster, easier, and cheaper than Ingram Spark, but I've also encountered plenty of bookstores with a strict "no amazon" policy. I totally get it, but still a bummer. Ingram is geared toward wider distribution, whereas Amazon is only interested in its own store.
I watch my favorite #horror movie, the star-studded House on Haunted Hill, every October, and my favorite part is still watching Chris Kattan just trying to get paid and get the f out of there.
Every time I'm cutting dialogue...
I’ll tell you what, no one is looking forward to the end of this Texas summer more than me and this huge crack in my windshield.
Overheard father-son exchanges at the park this morning:

🤕 “You just bumped your head; it hurts, but you don’t have to cry about it.”

🐿️ “Don’t throw rocks at squirrels; serial killers do that.”

Dunno if these kids are headed in different or the same directions.
There’s a scene in Tin Cup where Kevin Costner gets the yips and starts trying all these random gadgets and gimmicks to get his swing back.

As a kid, I thought “how desperate” and “have some respect for yourself” but then I grew up and became an indie author and now I see you, Kevin.

I see you.
Man you pause for three seconds on one of those Instagram ads claiming they can teach you to sell 60k books in 6 days just daydreaming of a life that could have been and then that’s just your feed from now on.
I've always been hesitant to put the words "A NOVEL" on my book covers because someone will inevitably write a review that begins with "The cover advertises this book as 'a novel' but when you get far enough into..." and so forth.
All the labels will say "Only for adults 13 years or older"
The only thing you really need to know about Pflugerville Texas is that if you want Whataburger on Thursday you better get in line on Wednesday.
The airplanes in my dreams are some of the most poorly maintained aircraft known to humankind.
I think I’m going to be sad when my kids are grown up and off living their own lives because then there won’t be anyone left to sneeze directly into my eyeball.
[David] would be [crazy] not to do it.
100% do your thing. Blurring the line between narration and the character's thoughts is awesome, and I love reading/writing it.
I doubt it. Probably just a bug. It's working fine on my laptop with the same Microsoft account. Classic "it's broken and no one knows why or how to fix it."

Don't they know we're trying to work?! 😡
Or how to spell "tick tock."

Might as well have been, "It's not if but when. Snapchat."
Just saw a million dollar idea. Sure, you'll end up a political prisoner at some point, but for a while there... you're gonna be RICH! And that's what America is all about.
I know antifa isn't a real organization because I don't get 40 texts a week from them asking for donations.
